Attractions in Adventureland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom

All attractions Open at 09:00 am and Close at 22:00 pm at Adventureland, with one exception.

Amazing attractions in Adventureland are thoroughly engaging and should be on your list of things to do in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Great news too. There are no height or age restrictions on any of the attractions in this area of Magic Kingdom either. You can ride any attraction and not have to worry about whether you are tall enough. To use the attractions you must have valid park admission.

Jungle Cruise

Climb aboard the fabulous Jungle Cruise boat and experience a magical tour through the themed rivers. Don’t forget to take the camera as the scenery and animals are extremely photogenic. The tour is short, lasting only 10 to 15 minutes. But it is beautiful and scenic too. Sail the Amazon River of South America passed waterfalls and fabulous shrubbery as well as huge trees of green. Float through the Congo River of Africa and more amazing sights. There is a Pygmy village taken over by gorillas and huge python snakes slithering on the shores. Passing through the Nile River of Africa is one of the tours highlights. Here you can see both elephants and hippos splashing around in the waters as well as the majestic lions hunting and prowling. Lastly, sailing through the Mekong River of Asia. There are baboons to spot as well as cobra snakes hissing and slithering around an ancient shrine. Then finally returning to the dock where you can disembark and reflect upon your journey.

Magic Carpets of Aladdin

Superb and colourful is the Magic carpets of Aladdin ride in Adventureland. Take your place on the magic carpet, which seats four riders. You can ride with family as well as friends too. Fasten your seat-belts and prepare to soar high as the adventure begins. The magic carpets float and drop as well as rotate around the magic lamp and Genie’s bottle. The motion of the ride is running at a moderate speed, but that’s not all. Each magic carpet is fitted with two sets of state of the art controls that you can use to maximise your journey too. For the front seat flyers there are controls that propel your carpet higher or lower as you rotate. For the back seat passengers, you have controls that will spin your carpet to fly either backwards or forwards. Magic Carpets of Aladdin is a totally amazing attraction here! Especially when you are the pilot, steering your own carpet. Enjoy the ride and see if you can handle the tipping and flipping as well as rotation of the ride. Don’t forget to watch out for the spitting camels trying to squirt you too!

Pirate’s Adventure – Treasure of the Seven Seas

This attraction is the exception to opening times. Opening at 12:00 pm and Closing at 18:00 pm

Start your pirate’s adventure and search for the treasure of the seven seas accompanied by the famous Captain Jack. You have to wear your armband as well as collect the magic talisman before you can begin the adventure, which is found in the crow’s nest. Once you have them, then let you pirate’s adventure get started. There are five exciting treasure maps in total and your role is to find each treasure to help out Captain Jack. Map one is the ‘Heads you Lose’ where you have to steal the treasure from headhunters at the Pacific, whilst racing the villainous Captain Barbossa. The other four maps all contain clues and some have tasks to complete too. To find the treasure for each map you have to show proof to cast members. They will then give you a card to proceed for the next treasure. On completion of all five treasure maps, their is a prize to claim. each treasure map should take around twenty minutes or so to complete. However, there is no real time limit and you can restart if you wish. You can also resume whenever you fancy during the day too.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Step inside the distant past and rediscover the age or piracy and plunder. The Spanish fort hides the entrance to a rather unique attraction. Located inside the fort is a barge that you need to climb aboard and wait for a discovery adventure about the pirates of the Caribbean. See the amazing exhibits as you sail through the short tour. Taking just short of ten minutes to complete and captivating the passengers too. Expect to see Dead Man’s Cove as you sail through the pirate grotto, filled with tales of the pirates who failed to navigate the seas here. Then, witness the fantastic battle of Captain Barbossa beside the foggy Fort and dock. Next, you will pass through the city on fire. The Burning City sees plundering pirates rejoicing with anthems too. Lastly, as you float through the Dungeon there are pirates in their cell. Enticing a dog to fetch the keys so they can escape their fate. Sail back to the fort and disembark from the journey, with a tale to tell. Packed with pirate culture and adventure, the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction is brilliant. Cameras are welcomed too. Set sail, you must!

Swiss Family Treehouse

Take a trip through an old story and wander through the Swiss Family Treehouse. The sheer size and scale of the attraction is amazing. Walk in the footsteps of the Swiss family, the Robinson’s in the home themed on the Disney film. It feels very real and lifelike as you walk through the rooms of the treehouse, it is magnificent. There are six explorable main rooms that you can visit whilst hearing of the families tales of survival too. Climb and navigate your way around this fantastic hands on learning experience. In the living room there is a beautiful mahogany organ and furniture. the clutter gives a real sense of how the family lived. Of course, the huge steering wheel from the shipwreck is here too. The kitchen comprises of a sink, made from shell and a hearth, made from volcanic stone. In the study (or library), you can see the handmade furniture and shelves of antique books as well as a mahogany desk too. The crow’s nest has the sleeping quarters. There are hammocks hung up and a battered trunk with scattered clothing that looks authentic too. Lastly, the jungle lookout is right at the very tree top. You can see the whole of Adventureland from here as well as other parts of Disney’s Magic Kingdom too. The exhibits are so real, the attraction is great.

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room

Take in a wonderful musical show that will engage and excite you like no other. Housed inside a circular theatre, the spectators are amused and encouraged to sing as well as clap along with the exotic birds who perform here. Themed from the Pacific Islands, the show is amusing and entertaining too. Also, the tropical birds are simply gorgeous as well. The Enchanted Garden sets the scene and you can see two talking toucan birds who get the show started. The scenery is terrific, totem poles and Tiki statues are set amongst exotic fauna and under a roof of thatch. The main show takes place in the Tiki Room, which adjoins. The culture of the Polynesian people is clearly visible through the artefacts and totems here. Take a seat and get ready for the entertainment. Beautiful and vibrantly coloured macaw’s open up the show with renditions of sea shanties. Soon to be amusing the crowds are the robotic performers that join in. Featuring cockatoos that giggle and parrots that bob up and down as well as Tiki statues that drum away and wooden masks that are chatting away. The atmosphere is brilliant as peoplereally get behind the show and join in singing and clapping.

Food and drinks during your adventuring are available throughout the day. Among some  of the most beautiful settings are a range of different eating establishments serving a range of cuisines. A valid park admission is a requirement to dine here.

Aloha Isle

It’s all about pineapples at Aloha Isle.Check out the sweet treats that can be purchased over the counter with a fast and reliable service. It does get very busy here at Aloha Isle, but queues are not a problem as the staff are used to fast and efficient service, with a smile too. From the snack menu, there are some very tasty treats that you can purchase to take away. For example, the popular ‘Pineapple Float’ is a tantalising pineapple flavoured Dole Whip sitting on top of fresh Dole pineapple juice. Delicious and sweet too.Also, ‘Pineapple Upside Down Cake’ is a slice of pineapple upside down cake, warmed and served with a helping of pineapple flavoured Dole Whip. Very gooey and tasty. The ‘Pineapple Dole Whip Cup’ is a choice from either vanilla or pineapple flavoured Dole Whip or adding a swirl. Drinks served are non alcoholic. You can choose between delicious Dole fresh pineapple juice or a bottle of refreshing water. Both are chilled for the coolest of drinks against the Florida humidity.

Try a meal from the Skipper Canteen and sample fantastic and delicious cuisines from a range of different cultures. Food is cooked and prepared freshly here and tastes fabulous too. With the cuisine being African and Asian as well as Latin, there is something to suit every diner on the menu. With plenty of seating at tables inside the restaurant, families can enjoy dining here together too. And with three rooms to choose from, dining here is exciting as well. The Mess Hall and The Jungle Room as well as The S.E.A. Room are three rooms serving lunches and dinners. From the menu there are some quirky sounding choices. The food has a wealth of flavour and texture, it is so good! For example, ‘Perkins Thai Noodles’ is a collection of flavours. Consisting of chicken and tofu with rice and seasonal veggies thrown into noodles and mixed with their own spicy soy-chilli garlic sauce that tastes amazing. For desert thaere are some mouth watering choices too. For example, ‘Kungaloosh!’ is incredible. For chocolate lovers, this cake is African and mixes caramelised bananas and chocolate to perfection. Topped off with caramel and cashew ice cream and a frosting of coffee dust.

Sunshine Tree Terrace

Selling delicious cold snacks, Sunshine Tree Terrace is perfect for family ice cream stops and drinks too. Also, the mixed swirls and deserts look and taste amazing. They are both cool and refreshing on a warm day as well. For example, ‘Citrus Swirl Float’ is popular here. Comprising of freshly frozen orange juice slushy, then topped off with vanilla and soft-serve ice cream with orange soda. It is a delight for the taste buds too. Also popular is, ‘Ice Cream Float’. Which is a beverage of your choosing from the fountain, topped with a soft-serve ice cream. Also, of your choosing. Select from vanilla or chocolate or even a swirl ice cream. All combinations are delicious and quench a thirst. Drinks are all soft and non alcoholic here. Try the ‘Minute Maid Raspberry -Lemonade Slushy’ and see how that tastes. Regular fountain beverages are available too, as is bottled water. Also, hot refreshments can be purchased here too. These include coffee and British tea.

Tortuga Tavern

Serving Classic American cuisine at the Tortuga Tavern for both lunch and dinner services. You can feast your eyes on a fabulous menu and expect fast and reliable service from the welcoming staff who work here. Their reputation is great service, with a friendly smile. On the menu are mains and deserts that look tempting and tasty too. For example, from the mains menu there are choices of ‘Pepper Jack Pretzels’ and ‘Chipotle Barbecue Short Ribs’, served with chips. Also, there is a selection of topped hot dogs, served with either chips or citrus slaw.  From the desert menu, there is a good range to choose from too. For example, ‘Rum Cake’ and ‘Warm Fresh-Baked Chocolate Cookie’ sound divine and are reasonably priced too. Beverages on sale here are all non alcoholic and consist of fountain beverages and bottled waters as well as a Pirate Pear Slushy too. With adequate seating inside the tavern, there are no shortages of tables. For outdoor seating, there are tables upstairs on the balcony overlooking Adventureland too.

Visit the fabulous Pirates League for clothing and accessories, made to enhance your Adventureland experience as you explore. Step inside and take a peek at the package deals and makeover offers inside. A crew of artists are waiting here, ready to transform your look. There are various packages that you can purchase here, but the themed pirate buccaneer seems to be the most popular choice. For example, you can choose to be transformed into a mermaid too. Also, Captain Hook is a fantastic makeover as well. Ghost pirates are available as makeovers too, as well as Blackbeard or Black Eyed Jack too. Mermaids can also choose, Uma. She is Ursula’s daughter and the makeovers look stunning. After your makeover is completed, you are then trained by a pirate master. Find out how to blend in and become a master yourself. Lastly, and most importantly, you take ‘the oath’ and are sworn in as a real pirate buccaneer!
